Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori will compete in the Nitto ATP Finals on home soil for the second consecutive season. Entering last year’s season finale, no Italian doubles player had competed in the event since it moved to Turin in 2021
The Italians made a good start to their year, winning their first nine matches by triumphing in Adelaide and reaching the final of the Australian Open.
They have won four ATP Tour titles this season, lifting trophies in Rotterdam, Hamburg and Washington in addition to their Adelaide victory. Bolelli and Vavassori also advanced to the Halle final.
This will be Bolelli’s third appearance in the Nitto ATP Finals, having played with Fabio Fognini in 2015 in London. Vavassori will compete in the year-end championships for the second time.
