Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic will compete in the Nitto ATP Finals together for the second consecutive season.
Pavic has played in the Nitto ATP Finals with four different partners: Oliver Marach, Bruno Soares, Nikola Mektic and Arevalo. The Croatian has tallied a 13-8 record at the event, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, but is still pursuing his first title. In his past two appearances, in 2022 with Mektic and last year with Arevalo, the lefty made the championship match.
This is the first time Arevalo has qualified for the event twice with the same partner. In addition to the Salvadoran's run to the final last year with Pavic, he qualified in 2022 with Jean-Julien Rojer.
Arevalo and Pavic have proven a dominant force at ATP Masters 1000 events this season, lifting trophies at Indian Wells, Miami and Rome. They became just the sixth team to sweep the 'Sunshine Double', and the first to accomplish the feat since Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in 2016.
