German has qualified for the season finale nine times

Two-time Nitto ATP Finals champion Alexander Zverev is the second player to qualify for the 2026 edition of the season finale based on results at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers. The German, who won Roland Garros and reached the Wimbledon final, has now qualified for the year-end championships nine times.

Zverev joins Jannik Sinner in the field at Inalpi Arena in Turin, where the season finale will take place from 15-22 November. Sinner qualified after reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon en route to his title run.

The 29-year-old Zverev first qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in 2017 and has earned his place at the prestigious season-ending event in nine of the past 10 seasons. The German won the title in 2018 and 2021. He also reached the semi-finals in 2019 and 2024.

Zverev made a consistent start to the 2026 season, reaching the semi-finals at the Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo and Munich, before advancing to his first final of the season at the Mutua Madrid Open in May. He claimed his first title at Roland Garros, having lost his first three Slam finals.

The 25-time tour-level titlist is tied with Sinner for the most wins on the ATP Tour this season with 44, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, and has won 16 of his past 19 matches.

Zverev holds an 18-12 career record at the Nitto ATP Finals and is one of three active singles players who has clinched the season finale trophy more than once, alongside Novak Djokovic and Sinner.

Six singles spots still remain at the Nitto ATP Finals, while Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten are the lone doubles qualifiers thus far.
