Turin fans ‘meet the champions’ ahead of Nitto ATP Finals
There may still be two days to go until the on-court action begins at the Nitto ATP Finals, but the singles stars for the 2025 edition of the prestigious season finale have already made quite a splash in Turin.
The six players from the eight-man field that are already in Italy — Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur — headed into Turin’s historic Piazza Castello on Friday to meet the thousands of fans lining the Nitto ATP Finals blue carpet.

With their city having played host to the Nitto ATP Finals since 2021, the people of Turin have become accustomed to seeing some of the ATP Tour’s finest up close. Yet the excitement in the air ahead of this year’s edition was palpable, not least because home favourite Sinner will enter the tournament as the top seed and defending champion. The Italian is also locked in a down-to-the-wire battle with Alcaraz for ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF honours.
After also posing for the official photo on the blue carpet, the players then headed inside the Teatro Regio (Royal Theatre) to partake in a ‘Meet the Champions’ question and answer session and speak to local and international media.
By the time the on-court action at Inalpi Arena begins on Sunday, record seven-time Nitto ATP Finals titlist Novak Djokovic will also be in Turin. The Serbian takes on Lorenzo Musetti in an ATP 250 final on Saturday in Athens: Should Musetti, triumph he will join countryman Sinner in the eight-man lineup. If Djokovic triumphs in Greece, Felix Auger-Aliassime will take the final spot.
