An Ace for Research: Intesa Sanpaolo program supports cancer care at the Nitto ATP Finals
An ace is the quickest way to win a point at the Nitto ATP Finals, and now it’s also the quickest way to support cancer care and research in Turin.
With “An Ace for Research”, Intesa Sanpaolo is pledging to support the Candiolo Cancer Institute – IRCCS. In partnership with the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research ETS, Intesa Sanpaolo will donate €100 for every ace hit during the round-robin matches, €500 for every ace during the semi-finals (Super Ace) and €1,000 for every ace scored during the final (Golden Ace).
Reigning champion Jannik Sinner has already struck 19 aces in his opening two matches in Turin, leading to €1,900 in donations.
In a similar scheme at the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals, Intesa Sanpaolo donated €100,000 after 372 aces were hit at the season finale.
Taylor Fritz’s 14 aces against Carlos Alcaraz are the most in a single match so far this year in Turin. The American also leads the ATP Tour in aces this season with 832, according to Infosys ATP Stats.
