The countdown to the Nitto ATP Finals, to be held from 14-21 November at the Pala Alpitour, will step up with ‘Tennis in piazza’, within the city of Turin over the next couple of months.
Starting on 24 July, the Federazione Italiana Tennis, together with the local institutions, is launching the ‘Tennis in piazza’ (Tennis in the squares) project in one of the most iconic locations in Turin, the Piazza Castello, situated in the heart of the old town, off which four main streets — via Garibaldi, via Po, via Roma and via Pietro Micca — begin.
Visitors to Piazza Castelli, Falchera – Piazza Giovanni Astengo, Mirafiori – Piazza Livio Bianco zona Arena, Piazza d’Armi, Corso Cairoli and Piazza San Carlo between 10am and 7pm on selected dated, over the next couples of months, will be provided racquets (sanitsed after each use) and Dunlop tennis balls to play.
The event, which is being supported by the Istituto Superiore di Formazione “Roberto Lombardi”, aims to bring the public closer to tennis under anti- COVID-19 measures. The regional section of the FIT Pedemont will also promote information about the 2021 Nitto ATP Finals.
